Only a a short time before the scheduled opening of the new terminal T3 at Malaga airport on the 16th of March 2010 the new access roads to the public parking will open on the 2nd of March. After passing the first roundabout by the entrance (just before the BP petrol station) You can choose 4 lanes: Lane 1 and 2 (left lanes) takes You into a tunel and out on the other side of the airport by the cargo terminal. LANE 3 (right lane) IS THE ACCESS THE PUBLIC PARKING and car hire. The 4th lane (right lane) is the access to departures.

On the 15th of march 2010 the new terminal 3 at Malaga airport will be inaugurated by HRH King Juan Carlos. The new terminal 3 will have 86 check in desks and 20 boarding gates. The total capacity of Malaga airport will be 9000 passengers per hour doubling todays capacity. Terminal 3 will also feature a new electronic system that can handle 7500 suitcases per hour. It will also house several restaurants and shops. Ryanair earlier announced that they will set up a base at Malaga airport with 4 Boeing aircraft stationed at Malaga and several new routes are planned for June 2010. 2010 will be the perfect year to visit the Costa del Sol, prices are going down on property and the STerling seems to gain against the euro.
